  1. SAINSBURY'S LOCAL STORE

    SUCCESS - Following a campaign by the CDRA & other local groups, Sainsbury's have agreed to apply for reduced liquor licencing hours at the convenience store they are opening in Cobham High Street.  They will stop selling alcohol at 9pm daily instead of 11pm as originally applied for.  See the Home Page of this website for details of our concerns and the campaign.  (Apr 2013)

  2. TRANSITION COBHAM

    The CDRA Environment Representative has been attending meeting of this new group since it got underway in Dec 2012.  The idea is to coordinate a set of bottom up initiatives with a focus on sustainability, aiming to make Cobham a stronger and happier community. There was a short talk about this at the CDRA AGM & Residents' Meeting on 4th April. (Apr 2013)

  3. COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS

    Mary Lewis, Conservative, has been elected as Surrey County Councillor for Cobham at the elections on 2nd May 2013.  See election results for full details of the voting in our area.  Turnout was 25% (May 2013)

  4. HOSPITAL RE-ORGANISATIONS

    The CDRA Chairman attended a meeting on 15th January about a review of hospital services across South West London & Surrey Downs, including Epsom & St Helier Hospitals. She contributed views on the proposals, priorities and issues. Cobham Farmers' Market

Every 4th Saturday of the month, 9.30-14.00 in Hollyhedge Road in the centre of Cobham.

Garden Club Trading Hut

Cobham Garden & Horticultural Association Members' Trading Hut is at the Old Nurseries off the Portsmouth Road on Saturdays, 2-4 pm.

Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion Club in Downside Bridge Road is open on Tues, Fri & Sat 8-11pm, Sat & Sun 12-3pm and, for coffee mornings, Sat 10-12 am. Everyone is welcome as a Legion member, whether or not they have a personal connection to the Armed Forces.

Healthy Walks & Cycle Rides

Elmbridge run an ongoing programme of free "Healthy Walks & Cycle Rides" to encourage residents of all ages to get out and about, enjoy walking and cycling and discover new areas. Rhyme Time & Storytime

At Cobham Library. Rhyme Time every 2nd & 4th Friday of the month at 10.30am for accompanied children under 3. Storytime every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10.30am for accompanied children under 5. Click on cobham library events for details.

Cobham Mill

Cobham Mill is open to the public on the second Sunday in the month in 2012 from 8th April until October, 2.0pm - 5.0pm.  The Mill - Surrey's only fully working watermill - will be operating on these occasions, grinding locally sourced grain into flour. Admission free but donations are welcome.
