  1. HOSPITAL RE-ORGANISATIONS

    The public consultation on the recommendations of the "Better Services, Better Value" review has been postponed to allow further work on the financial aspects of the review and to avoid consulting over the holiday period.  See BSBV News.  This review covers hospital services across South West London & Surrey Downs, which includes Epsom & St Helier Hospitals.    (Jun2013)  

  2. POETRY COMPETITION

    Riverhill Poetry Competition 'On The Riverbank' for all ages is being run by CCHT to celebrate the opening of Riverhilll.  Closing date 31st July.  Entry forms from Cobham Bookshop & Cobham Library. (Jun 2013)

  3. SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR COBHAM

    Cobham Free School has been given the go-ahead by the Department of Education to open a new Secondary School for Cobham.  They have said that they will be engaging with the local community on their proposals and site selection.  See press release. (May 2013)

  4. SAINSBURY'S LOCAL STORE

    SUCCESS - Following a campaign by the CDRA & other local groups, Sainsbury's have agreed to apply for reduced liquor licencing hours at the convenience store they are opening in Cobham High Street.  They will stop selling alcohol at 9pm daily instead of 11pm as originally applied for.  (Apr 2013)

CCHT meeting at 8pm on Weds 19th June in Cobham Village Hall is open to memebrs and non-members.

Concert - 22nd June

Maiastra at St Andrew's Church, Cobham on Saturday 22nd June at 7.30pm.  Mozart and Mendelssohn.  Admission free/retiring collection.  www.maiastra.org

The Farmers' Market takes place on the fourth Saturday of the month in Hollyhedge Road in the centre of Cobham, 9.30-14.00.

RideLondon Cycling Information - 25th June

There will be public information sessions to help find out more about how the Prudential RideLondon cycling events will affect us. Organ Recital - 30th June

Recital by Oliver Macfarlane at St Mary's Church, Stoke D'Abernon at 7.15pm on 30th June.  Works by Bruhns, JS Bach, CPE Bach, Reger, Alain and Boëllman.  Admission £10 at the door in support of St Mary's.

Cobham Village Hall Summer Fete - 6th July

Celebrate the completion of the new improved Cobham Village Hall at a fun day for all the family. From 12.00-4.00 pm on 6th July at Cobham Village Hall in Lushington Drive.  See cobham village hall for details.

Cobham Police Panel - 10th July

Come along to meet your Neighbourhood Officers, discuss local issues and vote for local policing priorities.  7pm at The British Legion Club, Downside Bridge Road, Cobham.  All local residents welcome.

Cobham Mill Open Day - 14th July

Cobham Mill is open from 2-5pm on the second Sunday of the month until October.   Admission is free.

RideLondon-Surrey Classic - 4th August

This cycling event on Sunday 4th August will be following a route which goes through Cobham. Thousands of riders are expected to take part in the amateur race, followed later in the day by a professional race. Garden Club Autumn Show - 14th September

The Cobham Garden & Horticultural Association Autumn Show will be held on Heritage Day, 14th September, from 1.30pm to 4pm in the Marquee in the Leg of Mutton Field, Downside Bridge Road, Cobham.

CDRA Residents' Meeting - 10th October

Cobham & Downside Residents' Association will be holding its a Residents' Meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday 10th October in Cobham Village Hall.  Details will be published nearer the time.

Elmbridge Arts Focus
