  1. COBHAM FREE SCHOOLS

    It has been confirmed that the Cobham Free School, a primary school, will be set up at the old Cobham Police Station & section house in Portsmouth Road.  The proposal is to use temporary classrooms on the site of the demolished section house to start with, subject to planning.  The Department of Education has turned down the application for a secondary "free school" in Cobham.

  2. OLYMPIC CYCLING ROAD CLOSURES

    Travel in and around Cobham will be affected on 28th & 29th July & especially on 1st August.  See our News page for more information.

  3. ALLOTMENTS

    The CDRA Environment & Amenities Representative, Ian Clifford, has taken up the cause of increasing the number of local allotments.  It looks as though he will be successful and there will be an extra area next to the existing Leg of Mutton allotments.

Cobham Farmers' Market

Every 4th Saturday of the month, 9.30-14.00 in Hollyhedge Road in the centre of Cobham.

Garden Club Trading Hut

Cobham Garden & Horticultural Association Members' Trading Hut is at the Old Nurseries off the Portsmouth Road on Saturdays, 2-4 pm.

Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion Club in Downside Bridge Road is open on Tues, Fri & Sat 8-11pm, Sat & Sun 12-3pm and, for coffee mornings, Sat 10-12 am. Everyone is welcome as a Legion member, whether or not they have a personal connection to the Armed Forces.

Healthy Walks & Cycle Rides

Elmbridge run an ongoing programme of free "Healthy Walks & Cycle Rides" to encourage residents of all ages to get out and about, enjoy walking and cycling and discover new areas. Rhyme Time & Storytime

At Cobham Library. Rhyme Time every 2nd & 4th Friday of the month at 10.30am for accompanied children under 3. Storytime every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10.30am for accompanied children under 5. Click on cobham library events for details.

Cobham Mill

Cobham Mill is open to the public on the second Sunday in the month in 2012 from 8th April until October, 2.0pm - 5.0pm.  The Mill - Surrey's only fully working watermill - will be operating on these occasions, grinding locally sourced grain into flour. Admission free but donations are welcome.
